Cusco Adventure 7 days / 6 nights

The second day of your 7-Day Cusco Adventure begins early, between 6:00 and 6:30 a.m., when our guide will pick you up to begin the tour of some of the most emblematic destinations in the Sacred Valley of the Incas.

Our first stop will be Chinchero, where you will visit its impressive Archaeological Complex and the traditional Textile Centers. Here you will learn about the ancestral process of Andean weaving using alpaca and llama fibers, a tradition still preserved by local communities.

We will continue to the district of Maras to explore the famous Maras Salt Mines, a spectacular complex of more than 3,000 salt ponds used since pre-Incan times. You will enjoy a guided tour and free time to take photographs of one of Cusco’s most iconic landscapes.

Afterwards, we will visit the fascinating Moray Archaeological Center, considered an ancient Inca agricultural laboratory where you will learn how this civilization developed innovative farming techniques adapted to different microclimates.

At midday, we will arrive in Urubamba, where you will enjoy a delicious buffet lunch with vegetarian and vegan options.

In the afternoon, we will visit Ollantaytambo one of the best-preserved Inca fortresses in Peru. Here you will explore the impressive Temple of the Sun, the agricultural terraces, and the cobblestone streets of the town, considered one of the last inhabited Inca villages.

After the visit, we will transfer you to the Ollantaytambo train station to board the tourist train to Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Pueblo). The journey lasts approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes, where our staff will meet you and accompany you to your hotel.

Visit the “Lost City of the Incas”
This will undoubtedly be the most anticipated moment of your 7-day Cusco adventure. Very early in the morning, before dawn, we will begin our ascent to Machu Picchu, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Our goal is to be among the first visitors to enjoy the tranquility of the site and witness the sunrise illuminating the Inca citadel surrounded by the Andean mountains.

From Aguas Calientes, you will board the bus that takes you to the main entrance of Machu Picchu. Once inside, your professional guide will lead you on an approximately two-hour tour of the most important areas of the sanctuary, including temples, ceremonial plazas, agricultural terraces, dwellings, and observatories.
You will discover how the Incas developed one of the most impressive engineering feats in history using only carved stone, hydraulic channels, and an extraordinary understanding of nature.
After the guided tour, you will have free time to explore some areas on your own or, if you booked in advance, take the optional climb to Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain, from where you will get some of the best panoramic views of the archaeological sanctuary. Afterwards, you will return to Aguas Calientes for lunch before boarding the train back to Ollantaytambo. There, our private transportation will be waiting to take you back to your hotel in Cusco, concluding one of the most memorable days of the entire trip.

One ​​of the most spectacular moments of your 7-day Cusco adventure begins before dawn. At 4:30 a.m., our guide will pick you up at your hotel to begin the journey south of Cusco to Cusipata, specifically to the community of Tintinco, where you will enjoy a nutritious breakfast before starting the hike.
After breakfast, we will continue for approximately one hour to Phulawasipata (4,600 m / 15,091 ft), the starting point of the hike. Before setting off, the guide will provide recommendations on the route and altitude so you can enjoy the experience with complete safety.

The approximately 2-hour (4 km) hike offers breathtaking Andean landscapes, surrounded by snow-capped mountains, glaciers, vibrant valleys, and numerous llamas and alpacas. During the tour, you will also have the opportunity to interact with local communities and learn more about their customs and way of life.
Around 10:00 a.m., we will arrive at the impressive Rainbow Mountain or Vinicunca (5,065 m / 16,617 ft). Here you will have time to rest while the guide explains the geological origin of this spectacular landscape. From this point, you can also admire the majestic Ausangate (6,380 m / 20,931 ft), the highest mountain in the Cusco region.

Afterward, you will have approximately 30 minutes of free time to explore the area and capture incredible photographs of one of Peru’s most famous natural landscapes.

We will then begin the descent, which will take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, until we return to the parking lot. From there we will travel back to Tintinco, where we will enjoy a delicious buffet lunch.

Finally, we will begin our return trip to the city of Cusco, arriving at approximately 4:30 p.m. at Plaza Regocijo.

Optional Activity: Red Valley

If you wish to complement the experience, you can take the hike to the impressive Red Valley Rojo, a little-visited landscape whose intense reddish tones create a scene that seems otherworldly. The hike to the viewpoint takes approximately 30 minutes.

After several days of excursions, this day is designed for you to enjoy the city at your own pace as part of your Cusco trip. You’ll have free time to explore the historic center, visit museums, discover traditional neighborhoods like San Blas, browse artisan markets, or savor renowned Peruvian cuisine at one of the city’s best restaurants.

One ​​of the last great highlights of your 7-day Cusco adventure starts very early, around 4:00 a.m., when our guide will pick you up at your hotel to begin the journey northeast of Cusco. After approximately two hours of travel, we will arrive at the village of Mollepata (2,800 m / 9,186 ft), where you will enjoy a delicious hot breakfast before continuing the excursion.

After breakfast, we will travel for another hour to the community of Soraypampa (3,800 m / 12,467 ft), the starting point of the trek. Before beginning the ascent, our guide will provide a brief explanation of the route, the altitude, and the necessary recommendations to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.

The hike to Humantay Lagoon (4,200 m / 13,780 ft) takes approximately two hours and traverses breathtaking Andean landscapes dominated by the majestic snow-capped peaks of Salkantay and Humantay, considered Apus, or sacred mountains, by Andean culture. Depending on your fitness level, the hike ranges from moderate to challenging, although horses can be rented to make the ascent easier.

Upon reaching the lagoon, you’ll have ample time to rest, admire its intense turquoise waters, and capture photographs of one of the most breathtaking natural landscapes in the Cusco region.
After enjoying this spectacular setting, we’ll begin our descent to Soraypampa, where our transportation will be waiting to take us back to Mollepata. There we will enjoy a buffet lunch before beginning our return to the city of Cusco.
We will arrive at approximately 6:30 p.m., ending the tour at Plaza Regocijo.

On the last day of this tour of Cusco, you’ll have free time to enjoy the city at your own pace. Take advantage of the morning to stroll through the colonial streets of the historic center, visit artisan shops, sample the local cuisine, or do some last-minute shopping before your departure.
