TRIP ITINERARY

We start our 2-day, 1-night Chinchero, Maras, Moray, Ollantaytambo, and Machu Picchu tour from the morning, at 06:30 a.m., with pickup from your hotel in Cusco. Our first destination will be the charming town of Chinchero (3,762 m.a.s.l.), where you can admire the impressive Inca constructions and witness a traditional textile art demonstration.

We will then continue to the impressive archaeological site of Moray (3,385 m.a.s.l.), famous for its circular terraces used as an ancient Inca agricultural laboratory.

Next, we’ll visit the Maras Salt Mines, a complex of over 3,000 pink salt pools formed by natural springs, renowned for their purity, flavor, and healing properties.

Afterward, we’ll head to Urubamba to enjoy a buffet lunch featuring a wide variety of traditional dishes from the Sacred Valley. Later, we will explore the archaeological site of Ollantaytambo, known as the “Living Inca Village,” with its temples dedicated to the Sun and Moon, as well as its narrow cobblestone streets and ancient water channels.

In the afternoon, you will board your train to Machu Picchu Pueblo (Aguas Calientes) at approximately 4:30 p.m.. During the journey, you can enjoy spectacular scenery of the cloud forest, home to orchids, bromeliads, and ferns. Upon arrival, our team will be waiting for you at the station to escort you to your hotel.

Accommodation: In a standard hotel in Machu Picchu Pueblo. The most common choice is Hotel Casa de Luz. Hotel upgrades are available; please consult your travel agent for options.

After enjoying a delicious breakfast, we will begin the visit to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu, one of the most anticipated moments of Chinchero Maras Moray Ollantaytambo and Machu Picchu tour 2 days. Depending on your arrival time, we will take the bus from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu, on a 30-minute tour with impressive views of the Vilcanota River and the lush vegetation. Andean.

Additional information and recommendations

To fully enjoy the Maras Moray Ollantaytambo and Machu Picchu 2 days tour, we recommend that you bring light and comfortable clothing, mountain shoes, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses and poncho for rain (especially from December to March).     You will meet your guide and the group for an orientation before the excursion.
  • Permits and entry tickets
    The tour includes all the necessary tickets for the sites of Chinchero, Salinas de Maras, Moray and Ollantaytambo.
    In addition, we manage your permission and entry ticket to the Machu Picchu 2 Circuit (subject to availability) as soon as we receive your complete information and the corresponding payment. These tickets are issued with a specific date and in your name. They cannot be modified under any circumstances, except for passport renewal (in which case, you must present the old passport along with the new one).

    Base price is calculated based on double room, with an additional charge of $30 for a single room (amount may vary by hotel).
  • Transportation
    All transportation is included. We will pick you up directly from your hotel around 07:30 a.m. to start the tour.
    The tour includes the Expedition or Voyager train tickets (both of excellent quality), and you can choose to upgrade your experience by Vistadome Observatory Trainby $75.00 each way.
    The round-trip Consettur bus ticket between Aguas Calientes and Machu Picchu is also included.
  • Food
    You will enjoy a buffet lunch on the Sacred Valley Tour, with a wide variety of traditional Peruvian dishes.

    The breakfast will be available at your hotel before the visit to Machu Picchu.
