We start our 2-day, 1-night Chinchero, Maras, Moray, Ollantaytambo, and Machu Picchu tour from the morning, at 06:30 a.m., with pickup from your hotel in Cusco. Our first destination will be the charming town of Chinchero (3,762 m.a.s.l.), where you can admire the impressive Inca constructions and witness a traditional textile art demonstration.
We will then continue to the impressive archaeological site of Moray (3,385 m.a.s.l.), famous for its circular terraces used as an ancient Inca agricultural laboratory.
Next, we’ll visit the Maras Salt Mines, a complex of over 3,000 pink salt pools formed by natural springs, renowned for their purity, flavor, and healing properties.
Afterward, we’ll head to Urubamba to enjoy a buffet lunch featuring a wide variety of traditional dishes from the Sacred Valley. Later, we will explore the archaeological site of Ollantaytambo, known as the “Living Inca Village,” with its temples dedicated to the Sun and Moon, as well as its narrow cobblestone streets and ancient water channels.
In the afternoon, you will board your train to Machu Picchu Pueblo (Aguas Calientes) at approximately 4:30 p.m.. During the journey, you can enjoy spectacular scenery of the cloud forest, home to orchids, bromeliads, and ferns. Upon arrival, our team will be waiting for you at the station to escort you to your hotel.
