Enjoy a great day by visiting all of the Sacred Valley of the Incas’ attractions in one day!
On this tour, we will visit Chinchero, where we will see the Inca site and the colonial temple, as well as have the opportunity to observe the process of Andean alpaca weaving. We will then visit the Maras salt mines, where we will witness salt extraction in a traditional way that has been done since ancient times. Following that, we will visit Moray, an outstanding archaeological site that stands out from the others due to its circular agricultural terraces.
After lunch, we will go to Ollantaytambo to see the Temple of the Sun and the statue of the God Tunupa, followed by Pisaq, where we will witness a series of terraces dispersed on the slope of a mountain as well as the largest pre-Columbian cemetery in South America.
Our tour starts early in the morning, around 6:00 to 6:30 am, before coordinating with our guide for pick-up. We will then travel to Chinchero, where we will visit the Chinchero Archaeological Complex and the Textile Centers, which are characterized by Andean weaving and workshops with alpaca and llama fibers.
We will then head to the Maras district to explore the Maras Salt Mines, where we will have a guided tour and time to enjoy and take pictures.
After we have finished touring the salt mines of Maras, we will proceed to the Agricultural Laboratory of Moray, where the guide will guide and explain the site, which refers to the practices and experiences that enabled the Inca Empire to cultivate the products it had. We will conclude the tour in Moray by traveling to Urubamba, where we will spend some time in the village to enjoy lunch.
After the delicious lunch buffet, we will travel for about 25 minutes to the Archaeological Site of Ollantaytambo, one of the most important archaeological centers of the Inca Empire, which is also known for the Temple of the Sun and the statue of the God Tunupa in front of the archaeological site. We will also have time to explore the town.
Once the tour is over, we will head back to Pisac.
After touring the Archaeological Complex of Ollantaytambo, we will return to the Sacred Valley of the Incas via the Archaeological site of Pisac, where we will have a guided tour. Once we have seen the best of the Sacred Valley of the Incas, we will return to Cusco, where we will conclude the tour by returning to the city center (Plaza de Armas).
