TRIP ITINERARY

Every June 24th, Cusco is filled with energy and tradition with the celebration of Inti Raymi, the Festival of the Sun, one of the most important ceremonies in the Andean world. This event, which took place during the winter solstice in honor of Inti, the Sun God, is a cultural experience that revives the splendor of the ancient Inca Empire.

Our tour begins early in the morning, when we will pick you up from your hotel and head to the Qoricancha Temple, where the ancestral ceremony begins.

There, the Inca performs the salutation to the Sun and begins the most anticipated celebration of the year.

Then, together with our guide, we will go to the Plaza de Armas of Cusco, where the Inca and his entourage perform the coca leaf ceremony and greet the people. From this point, we will continue to the Sacsayhuamán esplanade, the main stage for the Festival of the Sun, where you will witness sacred rituals, traditional dances, music, and typical costumes full of color and symbolism.

The Inti Raymi, the Festival of the Sun spectacle extends until approximately 4:00 p.m., and from the stands you can enjoy a privileged view of this majestic historical reenactment, recognized as a Cultural Heritage of the Nation. It will be a day full of Andean culture, energy, and spirituality that will connect you with the roots of the Inca people.
